Hi there everyone!! I am taking a bit of a diversion today from posting a recipe or a piece about nutrition. I hope that’s okay with y’all. Over the past few weeks, I have been working on a new plant-based meal planning service, Easy Cookin’. Today I am taking time out to introduce you to this product. In addition, I want to talk about how I got to this point and why I believe that this program will make preparing, cooking and eating nutritious and healthy food that much easier for you.
My purpose and passion
At the heart of studying nutrition and starting this blog is my desire to help others. I think at first I wasn’t really certain what that would look like and how I would go about doing it. But over time, I realized that combined with my passion for cooking and creating recipes I could use my nutrition knowledge to hopefully inspire others to eat more healthy plant-based meals. Also, my experience and struggles relating to weight, emotional eating and other health related topics give me a more personal insight into the struggles you may be facing.
When I started this blog full-time back in early July, I began sharing recipes and writing about nutrition topics. While, I would not call myself a vegetarian, I rarely eat meat and most often find myself cooking plant-based recipes. Eating less meat and more plants benefits our individual health as well as the health of our planet which is why these types of recipes are my focus. So far, I must say the response has been good. Some of you have shared your experiences cooking my recipes and even sent me photos of your results. Others of you have helped with sharing my posts and my recipes with others. And others have watched from the sidelines cheering me on. Regardless of what or how, I am thankful for it all.
Introducing Easy Cookin’
Today brings me to the next step in this journey. The launch of my plant-based meal planning program called Easy Cookin’. The ultimate purpose of this program is to help simplify the process of planning meals each week. In addition, I want to help YOU see how nutritious and delicious eating plant-based meals can be.
I understand the struggle of trying to eat healthy and cook meals every day when exhausted after a long day at work. Often, this leads us to making unhealthy choices such as eating out, ordering in, or simply relying on more quick and easy processed options. While those are fine for every once in a while, there is no doubt that preparing whole, freshly cooked food at home is healthier and better for you.
How it works
Each week you receive a digital recipe book with five nutritious and delicious plant-based meals, a grocery list and meal prep tips. The cost decreases when you purchase the four week or twelve week programs as much as $.50 per meal. In addition, these extended packages include additional bonus materials.
The program includes recipe such as…
- Ginger Soy Tofu with Stir-fried Vegetables and Ginger Sesame Brown Rice
- Tofu Tacos with Cilantro Lime Cream and Southwestern Slaw
- Vegan Macaroni and Cheese with Sauteed Spinach
- Winter Squash Soup with Toasted Apple Cheese Sandwich
Preparation of the meals is meant to take no longer than one hour. Also, with the special meal planning tips provided for each recipe I hope to help you get ahead and save even more time. Tips include time-saving products available for purchase at the grocery, and recipe prep you do in just an hour or two on the Saturday or Sunday before the start of the work week.
You can make a week commitment if you want to just check out the services initially, but there are also four week and twelve week programs as well. In addition to additional weeks of recipes, there are also other bonus materials as well for each of the levels. For more information, visit the work with me/meal planning page on my website or feel free to contact me directly as well through the contact me page.
Why should you buy this service?
My recipes will save you the needless time of planning meals for the week and creating a grocery list based on your plans. I do this part for you. You simply need to fine tune the grocery list for the week, eliminating the items you may already have in the pantry, and then make the run to the store. If you want to save even more time, consider using an online delivery service for your groceries such as Amazon Fresh Direct.
After you have your shopping done, spend a couple hours in the kitchen on Saturday or Sunday before the week starts to prep some portions of the meals for the week. You can do all or just select a few of the meal prep. You choose based on your weekly schedule and the time you have to spend in the kitchen to prepare dinner each day.
