Extensive book on women’s health and full of tons of information and an interesting read overall.
This book introduces the idea that health is not dictated by our weight. The author breaks down the myths and backs it up with science and research.
A collection of essays when dealing with difficult struggles. The basic idea is to experience negative emotions and feelings and allow them to be a part of us. This book is one that you will repeatedly go back to when the need arises.
I love just about anything by Brene Brown but in this early book she talks about how embracing vulnerability and imperfection creates courage within ourselves and allows us to live wholeheartedly.
An earlier book where Brene introduces the idea that we are all imperfect and that is ok. Through embracing our imperfections we can actually become who we actually are rather than who we think we are supposed to be.
An allegorical tale that follows a young man and inspires us all to discover our dreams by following our heart’s desire.
Your Food and Nutrition
The essential book on “intuitive eating” helps explain why diets don’t work and how we can reframe how we think about weight, food and dieting to lead a healthier life.
The first book I ever read after deciding to eat vegetarian. She talks about the value of eating plants along with tons of information on the nutrition they provide. Book includes some great plant-based recipes to get started.
A great, basic cookbook with extensive source of simple recipes.
