Here are my picks for the top baking tools
I don’t really see the need for anything super fancy and expensive unless you are doing some heavy-duty baking. I have always gotten by with my simple little hand mixer for baking cakes and other simple preparations. The rest I figure I can do with a spoon or even my hands!
A blender is an essential kitchen tool but also comes in handy for making quick baking recipes such as pancakes and crepes. Especially since these batters tend to be loose enough for a blender to mix up.
One that I consider an essential baking tool!!! Perfect to scrape the sides and bottoms of bowls and containers. Plus they work great to spread as well, creating a smoother surface when desired. I personally like spatulas that are heat resistant to use when melting chocolate or other cooking uses so that I don’t end up with melted plastic in my baked good.
The hand whisk is a great baking tool for quick mixing projects such as beating some eggs or mixing up pancakes! I prefer a good sturdy wire whisk such as the ones in this set here!
This simple baking tool is great for making cleanup faster and easier. Use it to pry up dough that is stuck to your counter tops or baking pans. It also comes in handy for getting thicker doughs, such as pizza crust out of the bowl and onto your kneading surface.
There’s no need for anything fancy to sift flour for baked goods. A simple strainer and spatula work just fine. Plus you can use a strainer for much more than simply sifting flour. The medium and large sifter works well to sift ingredients while the smaller one is perfect for lightly dusting baked goods with powdered sugar.
Wooden spoons are the preferred tool to mix doughs. The dough seems to stick less to these utensils and also they are simply sturdier than their plastic equivalents so when you are stirring a thick dough you don’t have to worry about it snapping in two.
Perfect for muffins, individual quiche, cupcakes and much more!!
This baking tool is helpful for creating a smooth surface when kneading doughs plus it aids in making cleanup much easier. Especially in cases where you don’t have a smooth countertop and don’t want dough to get in the cracks. It eliminates the need to clean up stuck on dough on your countertops, simply pick up and wash when you are finished.
