Place the banana in a bowl and use a fork to mash them up until the mixture is smooth. Get as many of the lumps out of the banana as possible.

Add the pumpkin to the bowl and mix with the banana.

Mix in the sugar to the banana and pumpkin.

Now add the milk, flax meal, sugar, and vanilla.

Mix until combined. Let this mixture sit while you mix the dry ingredients.

Combine the baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and both flours in a small bowl. Stir together with a whisk.

Add the dry ingredients to the fruit and sugar mixture and mix just until combined.

Fill the prepared muffin cups about ¾ full.

Place the muffins in a 400-degree oven and bake for 5 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 350° F and cook for 13-15 minutes or until a toothpick to the center comes out clean.
