The first thing you need to know is how to peel a dragon fruit since the dragon fruit skin isn’t edible.

1. Place the dragon fruit on the cutting board. 2. Use a sharp knife to cut it in half lengthwise. 3. Grab one end of the dragon fruit and peel it back and off the fruit. 4. Or use a spoon to scoop it out of the peel.


For Sliced Dragon Fruit

Place the fruit flat side face down on the cutting board and cut it into thick or thin slices.


For Cubed Dragon Fruit

Place the flat side face down on the cutting board. Slice through the dragon fruit horizontally, especially if you have a large-sized dragon fruit. Then cut into even slices in both directions to make smaller pieces in the shape of cubes.


For Balled Dragon Fruit

I sometimes make tiny dragon fruit balls for garnishes or to add to a fruit bowl. To scoop, simply cut the dragon fruit in half and then use the scoop to make balls.


The fruit can also be eaten directly from the peel by scooping it out with a spoon!
