Cook the onions, celery, and carrots in olive using the saute setting on your Instant Pot. Add the garlic and cook another minute.

Add the split peas, pumpkin, bay leaf and water. Cover with lid and cook under pressure for ten minutes.

Add thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.

Add more water if the soup is too thick.
