Dragon fruit may seem a bit daunting at the first. From its interesting pink or yellow colored peel and "dragon scales", it definitely doesn't resemble more familiar fruits. In reality, it’s actually pretty easy to prepare and any level cook can easily master how to cut dragon fruit.

Instructions
Cut and Peel a Dragon Fruit
Place the dragon fruit on the cutting board.
Use a sharp knife to cut it in half lengthwise.
Grab one end of the dragon fruit and peel it back and off the fruit or use a spoon to gently scoop the flesh out of the peel intact.
Slice or Dice Dragon Fruit
For sliced dragon fruit, place the fruit flat side face down on the cutting board and cut it into thick or thin slices.
If you prefer cubes, place the flat side face down on the cutting board. Slice through the dragon fruit horizontally, especially if you have a large-sized dragon fruit. Then cut into even slices in both directions to make smaller pieces in the shape of cubes.
Scoop Into Balls
To scoop, simply cut the dragon fruit in half and then use the scoop to make balls.
TIP: Use a small scoop since the fruit isn’t super large!
Eat with a Spoon
Simply cut the fruit in half and serve it up with the skin intact and you can eat the fruit with a spoon.
Notes
hoose a fresh, ripe dragon fruit. This ensures you will have the best flavor and texture when it's cut.
How are using it? Slices are best for a platter and cubes or balls work best for salads and garnishes.
Eat soon after cutting. The flavor and texture are best when the fruit is freshly cut. I recommend eating it within one day.
Freezes great. If you can’t eat it all right away, freeze it. You can use the frozen dragon fruit to add to smoothies and drinks.
