Air fryer buffalo cauliflower is a simple recipe made with just five ingredients and requires just minutes of hands-on time to prepare. Serve it up this perfect appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce for a winning dish with great flavor and crisp texture.
Cut cauliflower up into medium bite sized pieces and place in a medium bowl. Mix together sauce, garlic and black pepper. Add the buffalo sauce mixture to the cauliflower and toss to cover all the pieces of cauliflower.
Preheat the air fryer to 375° F. When it’s ready, spray the air fryer basket and add the cauliflower pieces in a single layer to the basket.
Return basket to air fryer and cook for 12 minutes. Removing the basket halfway through and moving the cauliflower around.
When ready, remove and toss with more buffalo sauce if desired. Serve as an appetizer with favorite sauce or add to recipes.
Notes
COOKING TIME TIPS:
No Preheat: If you prefer not to preheat or your air fryer doesn’t offer that function, add three minutes to the total cook time.
Softer texture: The time in the recipe yields crisp-tender pieces of cauliflower. If you prefer a softer texture, cook for additional time in two-minute intervals until the cauliflower is done to your liking.
Smaller pieces: Reduce the cooking time by five minutes and then cook in intervals until tender.
MORE TIPS:
Size matters. Cut fresh cauliflower florets into even-sized pieces.
Don't overcrowd. I find leaving room around the pieces of cauliflower allows the hot air to more easily circulate for even cooking.
Cook in a single layer. This helps them cook more evenly. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in batches.
Serve hot. As an appetizer, they taste best when hot. But I do enjoy buffalo cauliflower in a wrap or salad cooled or at room temperature.
