Pick the marinade you want to use. Combine the ingredients and mix together well.
Cut the tofu after pressing into slices for tofu steaks or into bite size square or rectangle pieces.
Pour the marinade over the pressed and cut tofu and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
When ready, remove the tofu from the marinade and cook in the oven or in a pan as desired.
Oven Method
Spread out cubes of tofu on an oiled baking sheet.
Place in a preheated 400° F oven and cook for 20-30 minutes stirring occasionally.
The longer the tofu cooks, the crispier the sides.
Skillet & Stove Method
Place a skillet over medium high heat.
When the pan is hot, add the tofu and let it cook for 5 minutes on one side. Then move the tofu around to cook and brown the other sides.
Continue cooking until the tofu sides are golden brown and crispy. Usually 10-15 minutes.
Grill Pan or Outdoor Grill
Heat up the grill or grill pan. When the pan is hot, add the tofu and cook for 8-10 minutes on each side.
Cook Tofu Crumbles
If making tofu crumbles, it is not necessary to press or marinated the tofu.
Crumble up the tofu into small pieces and stir in the marinade.
Spread it out onto a baking sheet pan and cook in the oven at 400° F for 25-30 minutes, stirring frequently.
