Heat the water, vinegar, and salt. Cook until it boils and the salt dissolves. Let it cool slightly.

Trim the end of the cucumber off that attached to the vine.

Cut into slices, spears, or halves.

Place the pickles, dill, jalapenos, and garlic in a quart jar.

Pour the slightly cooled liquid into the jars to cover the ingredients. Store in the fridge and they're ready to enjoy in 24 hours.
