Chia Seed Overnight Oats are the perfect make-ahead breakfast. With a blend of creamy oats, chia seeds, and mixed berries, it’s a simple and satisfying way to start your day.
Optional toppings for serving: nut butterchocolate chips, cacao nibs, extra chia
Instructions
Combine milk, vanilla, 1 cup of berries, and maple syrup if you’re using it in a blender or food processor and pulse until well-blended.
Place quick oats and chia in a bowl. Add milk and stir well to mix.
Transfer to jars or containers for storage. Refrigerate overnight or until all the liquid is absorbed. Oats and chia will soak up the milk while they are sitting. If possible, stir at least once after sitting for an hour.
To serve, stir well and top with the remaining berries and chopped almonds.
Notes
Use rolled oats instead of instant or steel-cut—they hold their texture best after soaking overnight.
If your oats feel too thick in the morning, just stir in a splash of milk before serving to loosen them up.
Customize your toppings to keep things fun—try nut butter, extra berries, cacao nibs, or a sprinkle of granola for crunch.
