Notes
Tips for BEST resultsThe salad is best when made with fresh fruit. Using frozen berries in this particular preparation will not yield the same results. The best time to prepare this salad is at the height of the summer when fresh berries are bountiful. Of course, berries are available year around but they may not have the same summer flavor. It is best to prepare the salad within a few hours of serving it so all the fruit is fresh. Once strawberries and tomatoes are cut they can sometimes get a little soft.If you do make ahead, wait to add the avocado, walnuts and dressing until the last minute.Give your dressing a taste test and adjust the sugar and salt to your tastes. The passion fruit is very astringent so you may find that the dressing needs a bit more sweetness than the recipe.
