Cook the milk and oats in a medium saucepan over low heat until tender. This will usually take about 5-6 minutes.

Peel the banana and smash it with a fork in a small bowl.

Remove the cooked oatmeal from the heat.

Stir the mashed banana, flax or chia, cinnamon, vanilla, and cacao powder into the cooked oatmeal.

Serve it up in a bowl topped with coconut, nuts, cacao nibs and/or chips, sliced banana and drizzle with syrup.
